Being outdoors and made of metal, will it rust?
The stable frame construction of the Olle Metal Rasied Garden Bed is made of 24" gauge galvanized steel coated with Aluzinc which is a zinc-aluminum alloy. The bolts, nuts and washers on the other hand are made of stainless steel. These materials are rust-resistant and hardwearing even in harsh weather.
How long will the garden beds last outdoors?
Olle Metal Raised Garden Beds are made of 24" gauge galvanized steel coated with Aluzinc, a zinc-aluminum alloy, which is durable in all weather conditions. The side panels are 0.6mm. That makes our metal garden beds solid and sturdy that lasts for many years.
Are they safe to grow food in?
Olle Metal Raised Garden Beds are made from 24" gauge galvanized steel, powder-coated with color and topped with Aluzinc, a zinc-aluminum alloy. These materials are safe and will not leach harmful substances into the soil.
Will the beds get too hot in the summer or hot climates?
No, they won't. The colored powder-coating with the Aluzinc reflects the heat from the Sun and protects the bed and everything within it from overheating in the summer.
